Trivia Night Rules!... and there are rules to follow. Here they are:

1) No cellphones or portable devices are to be used at anypoint during the evening to gain an advantage over another team. This includes, but is not limited to: phoning friends to get answers, looking up an answer on the internet, emailing or texting someone to get an answer, listening to music or looking up lyrics, using a music collection to locate an artists name, etc.  Simply put, don't cheat!

2) Saying incorrect answers loud enough to throw off those competitors in close proximity to you is perfectably acceptable. If they are eavesdropping on your discussion, they deserve to hear the wrong answer.

3) At the sound of the buzzer/bell that signifies the end of a series of 10 questions, you must hand over your answer sheet to the table runners. Chances are you will have grade 7 & 8 students doing this job. Just because they all try for an extra minute to finish a test, doesn't give you the right to do the same. Make it easy on them and they will make it easy on their teacher in the future.

4) Each team is entitled to purchase a one time 'double up' sticker. This $10 purchase enables a team to double the number of correct answers during a series of 10 questions. The 'double up' sticker may only be used once and is not refundable. If you forget to use it, we'll double up your last 10 questions. Be wise when using this, as 2 times 10 correct answers is better than 2 times zero correct!?

5) Each team is entitled to purchase 3 'gimmie' stickers. This $10 purchase enables a team to automatically get a question correct for three different questions. They can be used for any of the 100 questions that will be asked during the evening. Just think the teams who purchase this will go home feeling smarter than they are!

6) Questions will be asked in series of 10. There are two scheduled breaks: one after the first 40 questions, and the other after the 70th question. Both the Raffle and Silent Auction items will be closed for bids and tickets at the end of the second break. Plan your evening wisely, those prizes are looking great!
